Sr Digital Marketing Analyst

Details: Posted Date:  7/13/2012 Summary: Applies data expertise, testing methodology and marketing analytics to maximize marketing investments in online channels including SEM, CPA affiliates, Display, and Mobile. Integrates strategic thinking, problem-solving skills and cross-functional collaboration to execute marketing strategy, drive innovation and business results. Responsibilities: Develops and utilizes expert knowledge of ad server and search engine data and internal transaction data in support of tracking and analytics. Performs daily analysis and reporting on campaign performance and makes necessary optimizations.Manages assigned campaign budgets; participates in weekly budget reallocation.Conducts advanced analytics to optimize marketing campaign performance. Examples of on-going and project-based assignments potentially include:Apply test versus control methodology to evaluate online media view-through lift and determine appropriate attribution rulesDevelop enhancements to Esurance’s search engine marketing proprietary bidding algorithm, identifying best-in-class techniques for managing data sparsity, determining bid decisions, and maximizing KW portfolio outputPerform segmentation analyses against paid search and other online traffic to understand differing response and profitability metrics and devise segment-level bidding strategies that best meet business goalsTest and optimize ad copy, creative, and landing pagesConduct time and geo analyses (e.g., daypart, day-of-week, zip code) Analyze conversion latency and integrate projection factors into daily campaign reportsMonitors competitive landscape and digital marketing industry data; stays current on developments in online technology and new marketplace opportunities.Works collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Creative, Business Intelligence, Ecommerce Product Management and Web Analytics.Facilitates knowledge sharing by presenting test and analysis results in cross-functional meetings.    Qualifications: Qualifications: Strong analytical and problem solving skills – ability to use data to draw conclusions and execute marketing strategies.Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot-tables, V-lookups, graphics) and basic SQL skills for data pulls.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.Demonstrated functional knowledge of web technology and online marketing.Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines, in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.   Experience / Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, marketing or equivalent education.Four to six years of consumer marketing experience focused on search, online or direct marketingExperienced aggregating, manipulating and analyzing data to inform marketing decisions.In addition to career advancement opportunities and a fun work culture, Esurance offers comprehensive medical, dental, vision care and supplemental life insurance benefits for you and your family, a competitive compensation package along with a Performance Bonus, company matching 401(k) plan, and immediate tuition reimbursement from the start of your employment.
